Short but sweet! great game!

Pretty creepy game! Thankfully he "it" stands out from the crowd so you can see where it is, but it sure is terrifying as well! Great job!

I hate crowds. This was too real for me.

im not sure whats wrong but it wont seem to work. i press play and i start out at the fire barrel but i cant move. when i press the run button it shows my stamina going down but no movement. i also cannot choose an option when paused. id appreciate any help :)

Sorry man it wasn't so clear but you press E to progress the dialogue :)

Here is my playthrough clipped from my stream. :) I hope you enjoy this as an upload. It was requested so, it had to be done :D

This game was decent

Not bad for your first game, you definitely have a lotta potential. keep up the good work !

This was an amazing game, I'm looking forward to the full release. I accidentally found a glitch near the end. If you dash enough, you can eventually phase through the wall behind me (7:40). Thought I'd let you know just in case.

ngl im pretty excited for the full release, i just hope it doesnt get too repetitive

Its a very nice game i guess. Similiar concept to mine.
However this one has a much better and cohesive aesthetic put together.

IUT SPAOKEKD ME IM SO SCAREET^D IM A MINORRRR

This was an excellent creation, not cruelly difficult but still challenging and spooky!

10\10 will have a hard time sleeping. fun short game and stressful!

I registered to itch.io, just so I can tell you congratulations. I didn't get scared a bit, and this isn't the best looking horror game, but everything about it is genius. Kudos to you!

Full Play No Commentary

It was a good game with a good concept. Regardless, I'd like to offer some tiny criticism.

To get straight to the point, the base form of IT is the creepiest. No doubt. And while I know IT takes the form of others as this is just the movie, 'IT FOLLOWS', in indie game form, the other forms are just more goofy than creepy to me. IT should just stay in its base form the entire time so I have no reason to crack up at its goofy 'mimic' appearance again.

Also, the 'creepy SFX' that plays when you have a direct line of sight of IT NEEDS to go in my opinion. ITs already a pretty tall entity, making IT easy to point out, so the SFX is just unnecessary to me. But that's not what bothers me. It's the realization that this game can be a whole lot scarier without it. Combine that with how tall IT is, you're guaranteed to not get caught by IT unless you get stuck in the crowd or run out of stamina. Also, consider making him the same height as everyone else. Force the player to actually have some situational awareness and look around for IT.

Finally, maybe add a tiny story that can answer unanswered questions. Like the point of the briefcase and why it is so important. Unless that's something that is answered when you're caught, but I didn't get caught.

Anyway, that's it. I just wanted to add some constructive criticism as I do think the concept is scary and could make for a great horror game. Good luck in your future game developer endeavors!

Much love!

P.S. Just read that this is your first attempt at making a horror game. Sorry if I came off as an a-hole. I hope you decide to return to this at some point!

I love games with unique concepts, you should definitely make a sequel

Ah man, I really enjoyed this game (don't let the rage moments make you think otherwise XD)! It had me so stressed out and on the edge of my seat! I'm very interested in the lore/backstory! Keep up the great work! I followed you and look forward to what you make next! Bonne journée!

It was EXTREMELY scary and it was very well done! I unlocked a new fear...

The crowds were really scary as it hid the creature well and them getting in the way was just annoying enough but not a problem. Managing the sprint meter was also something I did not expect but I feel like it was just a tad bit slow in regeneration, which still made it scary! Plus the gameplay was simple but terrifying and just challenging enough!

Can't wait to see more of from you! Good luck and take care!

My thoughts on Crowded. Followed.

+Great game, brimming with atmosphere

+Constant dread and limited sprint is a difficult but playable mechanic.

+Jumpscares will catch you off guard

+Reminds me of a VHS style horror game in quality, controls and gameplay

+Good lore and storytelling

+-It wish there was more!

Strong strong game for a first playthrough of a demo. I highly recommend and want to see this completed. 10/10

Watch my playthrough below

Absolutely awesome! Heavily influenced by one of my favourite horror films! 10/10 thanks dev

very heat game this was one of my fav games on this website good work

Simple Game, but it freaked me out fr bro xd

i'm not usually a fan of being chased in horror games, but once i got a hang of things, it was quite fun! the stamina/sprint bar is a LITTLE rough with how slow the character moves on top of the slow refill, but doable when comfortable with the "map" and items that turned out a lot of cash. i'd love to see the lore be expanded on in future updates.
